
Activities of Erasmus+ KA2 project „PhotoKICK“ have started! In August 3-4, 2022, the first international meeting of partners from Lithuania, Latvia, Spain, Slovenia and Hungary took place at the History House of the National Museum of Lithuania.
The full name of the project „Photography Kaleidoscope: Inclusion, Communities, and Knowledge“ reveals the main objectives of activities to be carried out in 24 months:
- To strengthen the competencies of andragogues and other adult education workers working in the fields of culture and creativity, using international experience.
- To motivate adults to engage in the learning process, acquire new skills and competences, develop creativity and share their experiences through photography and art exhibition educational activities.
The international project is coordinated by Klaipėda County Ieva Simonaitytė Public Library. The project is implemented together with the Lithuanian National Museum, Kuldiga Art and Technology Center (Latvia), cultural association „Espacio Rojo“ (Spain), science and research association for art, culture, educational programs and technologies „EPEKA“ (Slovenia) and the Hungarian National Museum.
During the first meeting, the partners had the opportunity to get to know each other, share their organizational, professional and cultural experiences and started discussing the main aspects of the implementation of the PhotoKICK project activities.
The employees of Klaipėda County Ieva Simonaitytė Public Library, responsible for the implementation of the „PhotoKICK“ project, presented the set goals and desired results of the project, discussed the further course of action, organized educational exhibition preparation workshops, presented the prepared communication plan and visual design concepts. International partners, based on their professional competences in art research, history, education, innovation, exhibition preparation, communication, project preparation, etc. areas, made the first decisions that will contribute to the development and growth of Europe as a whole in the long term.
The employees of the National Museum of Lithuania presented the exhibitions at the House of Stories to the guests and shared the best experiences of organizing exhibitions. The participants of the international project also visited the exhibition in the tower of Gediminas Castle and the exhibition „Fighters XIX-XX“ opened in the former Lukiškės prison.
